Kevin Rollins Announced as the Next Dell CEO
Michael Dell Gives Up Title of CEO

According to a Dell press release today, Kevin Rollins (currently President and COO) will become President and CEO of Dell on July 16, 2004. The press release also states that Michael Dell will still be Chairman of the Board. From the Dell press release, "The company said the pending title change is consistent with current primary roles: Mr. Dell emphasizing trends in technology and customer preference, including research and development, Mr. Rollins leading company strategy and operations."
