My FAT dilemna....

i currently own a 15g dell dj. my sister just got back from college. she wants a music player. she liked my dell when she saw it, but she knows more about the ipod cause its more popular. we had to drive up to san diego to pick her up. on the way i won an Ipod Mini from AT&T's Mmode Daily Sweepstakes!!!! i was so surprised i won. i'm already over the shock and excitement of winning so i'm not gonna rant about it like i usually would. but now i dont' knwo which mp3er to keep....i like that the dell can hold a lot of songs. but the mini is small and easy to use. i can skate with it, adn exercise with it. but it only holds 4 gigs...and i'm one of thsoe people that likes to hold their whole collection with you just so when u 'get in the mood' for something else. i'm so stuck now i have no idea which one to keep, and i can't keep them both, obviously. damn......i paid for the dell.....i won the mini....they're both mine....and now i have to give one to my sister.....&^*$. but which one?

you have to give one to her?? lol
You are just gonna have to make a list of pros and cons of each and see which one outweighs the other. I have no idea what I would do either. Sry, but thats a tough one.

4GB is still a decent amount of music...im sure you'll be happier with the mini if you can use it when you skate.

I would go with the dell. When you just need to have that song, its there. You won't get that with the mini. Sure its small and cool, but it doesnt satisfy that need when u want a song. Heres an alternative, sell the ipod mini on ebay. If youre lucky, you just might get 300 for it. You'll definitely get at least 250. Take that money, give it to your sister, and she could buy an ipod mini or a 10gb new ipod or a dell dj. Just stick with your DJ and let her make the hard decision.

It's all up to you, but if you're planning to sell it on ebay, chances are you won't get less than $250. Ipod Minis are out of stock after all...

Now I'm sure giving her money going to make him feel better

Personally I think you should tell your parents that this decision will take some time, I would also inquire about some compensation. Use each player exclusively for a week, see how they fit your needs and then make a decision.

i must agree with cluck here, try each out with what you expect to be what you do everyday. Then the choice becomes ovbious no?dont look over the software aspect aswell, itunes is nice, dudebox has similar features but at a cost

idk.. if she needs an mp3 player i would prob give her the mini..... one big factor would be that the dell prob. has all of your music already and if you listen to a lot of wma's like me its gunna be a pain to switch over

Heres a better idea. Sell the mini on ebay, lets say you get 275 for it, buy your sister a refurb 15 gig dj for 152, and keep the extra 125 bucks for yourself. Thats the best way to go.

yah i think i should keep the dell. i've heard far too many times about the mini bending and teh jack plug loosening and shiite (muslims) like that. also 1000 songs...dont' really feel safe with that. i'll let my sister enjoy the happy colors. ....but i still want something out of it, i mean I WON IT and i'm GIVING it to HER.....
