If money is tight, consider a refurb from the Apple store, http://www.apple.com/ -- scroll down 'til you see the big red "SALE" tag on the left & click. Currently they have 10GB 3G (third-generation) refurb iPods for $200. Yesterday they had refurb 20GB ipod's for $300. 1 year warranty, add a second year with Applecare for $60. Stocks comes and goes, just gotta watch it. Word is the refurbs are pretty much indistinguishable from new except for the box they come in. Also, if you register with the Apple store, in a week or so you may get a $30 off $300 purchase coupon -- with a little luck and timing that could put a 20GB iPod in your hands for $270, $20 more than a Mini. |

These hard drives may have to be formatted. Even if they are, a lot of machines won't except a card more than 512mb or 1 gb
