I'm wary. I just don't think there's a bunch of tips or tricks out there that we haven't heard about. But I guess we'll see.

This is a joke. These books are released all the time. They write a book with "tips and tricks" about a new tech toy. All the info can be had from this and the dell forums, plus more. Don't buy into this, please. There is no "new" info.

I think I'll wait and see proir to passing judgement or purchasing for that matter. Most of these books look good on the outside but are very basic on the inside. Like how to turn the machine on and such. I am not a "tech" type but the DJ was not too hard to figure out. I have 2 teenage daughters, if I can't figure out something on the computer or one of my toys, I'll ask them. Kids now days seem to be born with that type of knowledge.

If someone does buy this book, share the knowlegde, and tell us if there are any cool tips. Personally, I wouldn't buy this book either. I mean, there isn't that much stuff the DJ can do. Voice recording and playing music... The book might advertise all these products for you to waste more money on, but besides that...

I have not read the book either as it is not out yet. I will say that the other books in this series are geared towards newbies. The author contacted me with a few questions for the book and the site should be mentioned.

On another note : The link in the lead post is NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK. (in case anyone is wondering)

You know what? I betcha ANYTHING that he got ALL his info from this site, considering it's just the BEST site discussing the DJ. He might have contacted Dell and used the offical forums, but obviously since this site is SO much BETTER, he must of been magnectically attracted to this place and then stuck here for the rest of the time because this site is THAT DAMN COOL. So in the light of this, and the fact he probally "stole" (yep, stole... stealing as in music piracy type of stealing... knowledge isn't free anymore, what can I say) at least half his info is from this AWESOME site, he DEFINATELY should send ALL site admins, FREE COPIES!!!! Or else we should get RIAA to eat him alive, for "downloading" and "unauthorized file sharing."

Anything that book says is probably nothing we don't know already.

Between the owners manual, Dudebox info, this site and the "official" site, I can't see how some book will explain more. If there were some tricks or secerets they would be out here.

The Delldjsite exchanges ideas so quickly it can't compare to the printed word. I bet the book will be 2 months outdated when its published. I think I will pass on this one.

The book can't really get too outdated. Most of the common problems will still occur. The book will probably just say Upgrade Firmware, and if your DJ still deosn't work call Customer Service for a new one. And then the book can have a link to this site. So then the book will always be up to date.
