Exclamation New Firmware, [01.20.03 A02] [Released 5/12/2004]

Latest Firmware (as of 5/12/2004)

Link to File Info Page

So I guess Dell wanted to do something special for my birthday, and decided it was time for a new firmware.

Mainly for the support of Dell's New In-line remote with Display, but inside my Dell File Watch update e-mail, it is a critical update? Well, anyways, here it is!

A 918KB file, should take under 3 minutes on 56K.

Direct Download

Enjoy it!1

It's OK. Do you want a lock or do you wish to keep it open?

According to the mod in the Dell forum, nothing more than an upgrade for the FM tuner.

I think it has to do with your browser's history. If it doesn't find anything about you previously visiting that page, it'll transport you home. Oh well, no biggie. You got it taken care of anyways, I see.

Red face Yay but not

I was very excited to see that there was a firmware update, but I don't notice any difference except for "recording" option under the main menu that allows for "FM recordings".. i don't plan on buying the fm receiver, so this isn't very helpful for me.

I hope there are still plans for an update that adds a lot of the asked for features posted on this site.

i just was on the official dell forums and i found out that the usb should be connected to the motherboard usb, not a pci card.... you should add this to your original post on the homepage b/c i downloaded with the direct link but i wasnt aware that i was supposed to hook it up to the computer's original usb ports... just a heads up for other members...

btw.. anyone know why dell would tell us to do this anyways

I don't know, but that sucks. I only have usb 1.0 on my laptop. I have a 2.0 pci card that has worked great on both my ipod and dj. This does not make sense.

I had usb 1.0 on my computer, and bought a PCI card that offered me 4 slots. It works just fine up/downloading, recharging, and anything else. I wonder why you're not supposed to. No way i'm going back to 1.0, that junk is SLO_O_O_OW

I think what they are getting at is when updating your firmware you should use the motherboard USB instead of a card.

Is there really that big of a difference between USB 1.0 and USB 2.0? What is the speed difference??
