Headphone cord is too long!!

I just bought these headphones that have amazing sound quality, but the cord is at least 5ft long (no joke!!). It keeps tangling up and getting in the way. Do any of you guys know any solution to this dilemma??

I heard about something called Smartwrap which is supposed to be really good. Did anyone ever use it??

thanks

Yeah, the SmartWrap is a nifty little idea, you could probably make something similar yourself though.

Yea, my guitar cable came with this thing that ties around the wound up cable and attached to itself. That kind of thing would work, but if it were me GO WITH THE TWIST TIE.

Smartwrap and Twist ties are good ideas. In the meanwhile, you can do some ghetto-rigging and use a rubber-band.

Why not cut out about 2 or so feet, splice it back together, and cover with heat shrink tube? I suppose, its a permanent solution.... and could risk sound quality, but it would work...

Wow, i can't believe i didn't think of using a rubber band. That would save so much $$!! I'm afraid of cutting my headphones, because i'll probaly end up ruining them. Twist ties are a good idea and I think have some lying around.

Thanks a lot

I'm just curious, did anyone ever use a Smartwrap? I heard it won all these crazy design awards, but it is expensive as hell!! They say it is $5, but shipping is also $5. That's $10 for a piece of rubber with holes in it. Crazy cheapstakes trying to rip me off... but maybe it really is a very good product. All I've seen are positive reviews on it. Any user feedback??

Yeah, the SmartWrap is an interesting product. We've received a review unit, but I have been packing to move away temporarily for a summer job out-of-state, and have not had a chance to finish the write-up. Look for the review to be posted soon, along with some other nifty products for the DJ.

Did you just ask them for a review Smartwrap, and they gave it to you for free??

I'm thinking about buying Smartwrap from http://www.sumajin.com/online.htm. If you're interested in buying some too, we can order a lot and split the shiping charges. 20+ Smartwraps get free shipping. PM me if your interested.

Lightbulb

I thought of another clever idea for this.... without spending $$. On the charger wire... it came with a velcro strip. You can try sliding that velcro strip off of the charger wire (which I feel is useless there) and slip it onto your headphones wire and wrap the extra wire with the velcro.
