Equalizer

I don not understand where they came up with the preset ones. Does anyone know any good ways to do the Custom one. This has got to be the only thing (besides MusicMatch) that I don't really like about the DJ.

Yes I agree that I dislike the custom equalizer. If anyone has found a good setting for Punk, Rock, or Metal: please post the levels that you have set up.

I think the only problem with the custom equilizer is not enough bands on it. I wish it were at least 7. Oh well. You can make it sound really good, I have a nice setting, but my DJ is out in the truck and I really dont want to go out to get it.

8-6-7-8

Or, if you have crappy headphones that make pops and clicks in your tracks

8-6-3-8

Thanks for the setting. Sounds much better than the rock preset!

I just punched in that 8-6-7-8 setting and it sounds pretty damn good, although maybe a little tinny. Otherwise, that's pretty sweet.

Some of these setting are way over equalized. Instead of using 8-6-4-8, use 4-2-0-4. It is the same thing with less distortion Just adjust the volume to taste. Getting too high or low will cause distortion. You want the median of the numbers to be 0.

Yeah, im finding that getting the EQ right in my truck's stereo is hard. The sound distorts a little once I start pushing it, and the speakers I have shouldnt distort. Im on the right track now doing what chooch said.
