can DJ fade tracks?

at this point i dont think that the DJ20 can fade tracks into one another like some other MP3 player (dont remember which one). however, is that a possibility in the future? do u think that this can be a software fix?

I think you mean crossfade. I know that the DJ doesn't do this currently and who knows what Dells plans are for the future.

I was wondering the same too. I suggested this in the firmware upgrade thread. Obviously it doesn't but wouldn't a 0,3,5 sec fade option be cool. Your playlists would sound like DJ sessions. It IS called a DJ.

Might be hard to crossfade the music to the point of it sounding good. would have issue of matching BPM(Beats Per Minute). If a firmware upgrade was in place it might be hard to "Beat Match", the software may speed up or slow down the music to undesirable speeds in order to make the mixes and fades flow together. Unless all of this is unimportant to all of you and I am looking into this too far. Not sure how it would sound to crossfade various tracks together on a playlist(example: Metallica faded into Coal Chamber? or 50 Cent faded into britney Spears?).

I prefer to make my mixes on the computer and make one big mp3 and transfer that to DJ.

yeah, i hear what u saying. obviously it would be pretty hard to have a complete and perfect DJ quality fade...i meant more of like last 5 seconds of any song fades out as 5 seconds of the next song fades in

obviously DJ wont be able to match beats and stuff...although it would nice if it could.
