belkin's powered cradle

hey there,
finally decided to register here
anyway, i have a question regarding belkin's powered cradle...
does that work like charging and playing music at the same time,
so it would actually decrease overall battery life (?)

i just don't want to be in need of replacing the battery that soon ^^
sorry, no clue how li-ion batteries work

I have one...it's well worth the money, I got mine through Belkin.com with their 50% off coupon code.

I assume once it's finished charging that it automatically stops charging and keeps it running just like if you were using a notebook and it was plugged in, once the battery charges it just powers the device.

unfortunately, the coupon was no longer valid when i ordered it... *sigh*
anyway
so it keeps it running without going actually using the battery?
cause i heard that keeping a notebook plugged in while using it drained the battery... not sure

Ack, the $12 shipping kinda kills it for me. I would be willing to pay ~25 for it.

I bought other things so $12 shipping wasn't bad.

As far as notebooks go, you should be able to plug in the notebook without killing the battery. As far as batteries go, they will all die sooner or later, the more cycles you use the quicker it will die...I really doubt leaving it plugged in will kill it any quicker then using it.

if it's like that, i will probably continue using my pc as my default audio player in my room (no, i do not own a stereo, i planned to attach speakers to the dj).
i somehow wished that it fed directly from the power outlet
